With a comprehensive and personalized approach, he assists clients in building more customized portfolios, minimizing tax exposure, and ensuring their loved ones are financially protected. His ultimate goal: empowering people to live the financially independent lives they envision.

Surya began his financial career in 2002 with American Express Financial Advisors (AEFA) in Irvine, California, where he quickly distinguished himself in 2003 as the Top First-Year Advisor in the Southern California / Hawaii Market Group. During his tenure, he was recognized for his outstanding performance, high client satisfaction, and quality of advice, Surya remained one of the top advisors at AEFA/Ameriprise until his departure.

Motivated to offer more objective, customized guidance, and sophisticated portfolio management, Surya founded Newport Wealth Advisors. Under his leadership, the firm strives to deliver on it mission to cultivate deep client relationships, maintain fiduciary integrity, develop tailored financial strategies, and provide world-class service.

Surya is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and a Certified Fund Specialist (CFS™). He also holds his Series 7, 65, 63, California Life & Health, and California Variable Annuity licenses.

A passionate community advocate, Surya volunteered with Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Orange County, mentoring youth to help shape a brighter future. A proud Southern California native, he resides in San Diego with his wife and two daughters.
